Lila Irene Patterson, 99, of Kenyon, died Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Faribault Senior Living.

Lila was born April 16, 1926, in Rochester, the daughter of Herbert and Hannah (Sathre) Cordes. She attended Skyberg country school. Lila was united in marriage to Forrest L. Patterson on April 16, 1955, at Hegre Lutheran Church in rural Kenyon.

Lila assisted Forrest with their family farm and was a homemaker for her family. She was a lifelong active member of Hegre Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and made quilts. Lila was a former election judge for Kenyon Township. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, fishing trips, and playing games, especially Scrabble and Solitaire.

Lila is survived by her son, Gary (Peggy) Patterson of Kenyon; three grandchildren, Brian Patterson, Michael (Rebekah) Patterson and Beth (Aaron) Helgeson; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Madeline, Isabelle, Julia, Leia, Blane and Bree; one great-great-grandchild, Blaire; also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest; daughter, Linda Speer; brothers, Herbert and Henry; and daughter-in-law, Julie Patterson.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Hegre Lutheran Church in rural Kenyon, with Pastor Carol Sinykin officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hegre Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Hegre Lutheran Church.
