Lillian May King, 93, of Owatonna, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Traditions of Owatonna.
Lillian was born May 12, 1922 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Albert and Andrena (Molde) Quam. She graduated from Owatonna High School. She was united in marriage to Evert King on May 1, 1946 on the family farm in Merton Township. They lived in Medford for awhile and later moved to Owatonna where Lillian worked at Truth Hardware for 18 �½ years retiring in 1989. Evert died in 1976.
Lillian was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. She rarely missed watching a Twins game on TV. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to casinos and playing Bingo. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the Senior Place and at St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three sons Gary (and LaVonne) King of Burnsville; Perry (and Earlene) King of Mantorville; and Larry King of Claremont. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother Kenneth Quam of Owatonna; and two sisters Bernice Eriksen of Huntley, IL; and Adeline Milusinic of Pueblo, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband Evert King; a great grandson; her parents; and two sisters, Eldora Hunt and Gladys Weisjahn.
Visitation will be at St. John Lutheran Church on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial services will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Faribault. Arrangements by Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
