Lillian Chrystella. Teig, 95, of Kenyon, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Kenyon Sunset Home.
She was born August 11, 1922 in Kenyon, Minnesota the daughter of Casper and Lena (Barsness) Kjos. She grew up on a farm north of Kenyon in Holden Township. She graduated from Kenyon High School in 1940. Following her schooling she worked at Wunderlich's Grocery Store. On November 25, 1951, she married Tenner Teig at Dale Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on a farm near Nerstrand where they lived all of their married life. Following Tenner's death, Lillian continued living on the farm until 2012 when she moved to Gunderson Gardens in Kenyon. Lillian was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nerstrand where she served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She also was involved with the quilting ministry. She was kind and caring and at times firm. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, gardening and canning, shopping, her dogs and cats and especially attending the events her grandchildren were involved in.
She is survived by daughter, Linda (and Greg) Langemo of Kenyon; grandchildren, Jodi (and Johannes) Butscher of Minneapolis and Jason Langemo of Somerset, WI; great-granddaughter, Stella Langemo; sister-in-law, Beulah Mohr of California as well and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Casper and Lena; husband, Tenner and brothers, Arthur, Gordon and Clarence Kjos.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Tuesday, June 12th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at church on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Nerstrand with The Reverend Don Kloster officiating. Interment will be in the Holden Lutheran Cemetery rural Kenyon.
