Lloyd LeRoy Erler, 68, of West Concord, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Beaver Dam Resort in Cleveland, Minnesota. He was born July 15, 1943 in Rochester, Minnesota the son of Orville and Marvel (Miller) Erler. He graduated from West Concord High School in 1961. He enlisted into the United States Air Force and was stationed in France until his honorable discharge in 1964. He married Diane Kidder on May 14, 1966 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Berne. They made their home in West Concord. In 1965, Lloyd began work as a heavy equipment operator and later a working foreman for the 49er''s Union until his retirement in 2001. Lloyd loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping at German Lake. He also enjoyed his Harley and loved a nice pickup. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Diane Erler of West Concord; three daughters, Michelle (and Mike) Ehmke of Waltham, Kristin (and Bill) Giesler of West Concord, and Nicole (and Kevin) Binstock of Kasson; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth (and Nate) Schmidt, Darr (and Kristen) Ehmke, Jesse Ehmke, Amanda (and Scott) Harguth, Samantha and Stephanie Giesler, Brooklyn, Brady, and Blayke Binstock; four great grandchildren, Alexys, MacKenzie, Tehryn, and Skylar; two sisters, Barb (and Dave) McGuire of Dover, and Mary Kay (and Jim) Stellplug of Rochester; also many extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Ken Erler. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM . Funeral services will be held April 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord. Interment will be in the Claremont Street Cemetery with full military honors.
