Lois Jean David, 78, of Kenyon, died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at her home under the care of hospice and with her family at her side. Lois was born August 6, 1934 in Faribault, Minnesota , the daughter of Paul and Katherine (Hunt) Berghoff. She was raised in Faribault and graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1954. She then attended technical school in Minneapolis. Lois returned to Faribault where she worked for Wilson Packing Plant as a secretary. She was united in marriage to Boniface 'Bones' David on September 16, 1958 in Faribault. The couple made their home in Morristown and then moved to Northfield. They returned to Morristown and later to Moland. Lois enjoyed going out to eat and an occasional trip to the casino. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. Lois and Bones also enjoyed going to dances and listening to old time music. She is survived by her husband Boniface 'Bones' David of Kenyon; daughter Cheryl (and Robert) Haefs of Kenyon; three sons Tom (and Debbie) David of Kenyon; Mark (and Diane) David of Cannon Falls; Daryl (and Lisa) David of Faribault; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Paul David; a sister Dorothy Bushey and a brother Richard Berghoff. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kenyon with Father Eric Lundgren officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be held at a later date.
