Lois Amelia Miller, 70, of Owatonna, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Homestead Hospice House. She was born January 10, 1938 in Albert Lea, Minnesota the daughter of Daniel and Amelia (Moldenhauer) Weckwerth. Lois graduated from New Richland High School in 1956. She then worked for Josten's in Owatonna. She married Stanley R. Miller March 11, 1961 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in New Richland. Following Stan's military service the couple made their home in Owatonna. Lois enjoyed crafting and loved birds and butterflies. She enjoyed traveling and liked trips to the north shore the most. She was active in her church circle for many years. Lois was a wonderful godmother and aunt to many. Lois is survived by her husband, Stan of Owatonna; sisters, Dorothy (and Frederick) Hagen of Burnsville, Tess Hanson of Albert Lea, Leone (and Jim) Svelmoe of Rochester; sister-in-law, Mabel Weckwerth of Albert Lea and godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Weckwerth; brother-in-laws, Arnold Hanson, David Ide, Cecil Miller. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday from 1-2pm. Funeral services will be held August 9, 2008 at 2:00pm at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Victor Jortack officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens. Memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House, American Cancer Society or to the donor''s choice.
