Lois Verna Schiavone, 86, of Owatonna, died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Traditions II of Owatonna. She was born September 16, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Frank and Mary (Gildemeister) Bitterman. For the past year, Lois has been a resident of Traditions II where the staff and other residents became her family. A special thank you to the staff for the tender, compassionate care given to Lois. She is survived by daughters, Valerie Mueller of Woodstock, IL, and Donna (Randy) Hagen of Deoge Center; grandchildren, Amber Hagen, Courtney Hagen, Megan Hagen, Abby Hagen, Chad Fisher and Stephanie Fisher; great-grandchildren, R.J. Fisher, Addison Scannell, Langley Fisher, Michael Phelps, Lillana Scannell, Hazel Phelps, Chase Fisher, Ava Fisher, Aurora Phelps, Eden Laqua, and Paige Ackerman; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Bitterman and Tom (Annie) Bitterman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary; husbands, Donald Schiavone and Grady Shaver; son, Donald Schiavone; grandson, Shawn Ackerman; step-mother, Lou Bitterman; brothers, Dicky Bitterman, Frank Bitterman and Jim Bitterman and sisters, Susan Prazak and Jacqueline Empson. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, no services are being held.
