Lorene K. Kruckeberg 62, of Hope, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Pocahontas, IA to Loren and Cecelia (Breidert) Stroup. Lorene graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1964. She then married Eugene Kruckeberg May 1, 1965and the couple moved to Hope. While raising two children Lorene occasionally helped her husband at the Hope Creamery. Lorene later worked for SPX, and the Owatonna Clinic. She was a member of the Crusader''s Club, and the Ray of Sunshine Guild at St. John Lutheran Church. Lorene enjoyed fishing and sewing. She also did a variety of handcrafts that included stamping and basket making. Lorene is survived by her husband Eugene, daughter Jill (Loren) Hanson of Danbury, WI, son Kent (Keri) Kruckeberg of Kasson, eight grandchildren, and two brothers Lyle Stroup of Bemidji, and Larry (Mary) Stroup of Blooming Prairie. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral service will Thursday May 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with the Reverend Dave Klawiter officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.
