Loretta Louise Anderson, 101, of Owatonna, went to the Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Homestead Hospice House. Loretta was born April 17, 1911 in Steele County the daughter of Phillip and Barbara (Kabage) Anhorn. On August 29, 1935, she married Donald Anderson at her home in Meriden. The couple farmed all of their married life on the home place near Faribault, then north of Owatonna before farming 57 years in Deerfield Township. In 2002, they moved to Brooks on St. Paul. Loretta made many friends at the Brooks and enjoyed playing Pinochle nearly every day. Loretta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 73 years. She was active in a Circle and the Sewing Circle where she made many quilts. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and watching the Minnesota Twins on TV. She is survived by her son, Ronald Anderson of St. George, UT; daughter, Marlys (and Robert) Stark of Owatonna; grandchildren, Brian (and Micki) Stark of Mankato, Bradley (and Jill) Stark of New Ulm, Dan (and Jasmin) Stark of Golden Valley, Kevin Anderson of Osseo, Sherry Meason of New Hope, Eric (and DeeDee) Anderson of Lindon, UT, Carrie (and Rob) Babcock of Elk River and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, four sisters and a grandson. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 2 from 1pm to 2pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Julie Malone officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.
