Lorna Kathleen Kidder, 66, of Owatonna, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota Lorna was born February 14, 1949 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Oren and Alice (Joslin) Quaintance. She was a 1967 graduate of Blooming Prairie High School. Lorna married Robert Kidder on June 22, 1970 in Clintwood, VA. They made their home in Batesville, Indiana, until 1973 when they moved to Owatonna. Lorna worked at Owatonna Manufacturing Company, which became Mustang, for 29 years. She then worked at Truth Hardware until her retirement in February of 2015. Lorna was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit and crochet. She made baby quilts for her nieces and nephews, stocking caps and mittens that she donated to the Owatonna homeless, and Christmas stockings for the children's orphanage in Alaska. She also enjoyed flowers, reading, card making and stamping. She also loved her cats, Pumpkin and Katie. Lorna was a member of the Associated Church in Owatonna. She is survived by her husband, Robert Kidder of Owatonna; daughter, Lisa Disher (and fianc�©, Allen Zimmerman) of Albert Lea; seven siblings, Ruth Duesterhoeft of Faribault, Barbara Yerhart of Keokuk, IA, Patricia Quaintance of Owatonna, Roger (Rebecca) Quaintance of Owatonna, Norma (David) Hafstad of Ellendale, John (Doreen) Quaintance of Owatonna, and sister, Kandy (Scott) Johnson of Owatonna; brothers-in-law, George Townley of Owatonna and Tony Sanchez of Dodge Center; aunt, Rose Mary Perry of Morgan Hill, CA; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Delbert and Tommy Quaintance; sisters, Mary Townley, Sue Sanchez, and Nancy Quaintance. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna with The Reverend Katherine Gibson Christensen officiating. Interment will be in the Claremont Street Cemetery in Claremont, Minnesota.
