Lorrain Alice Bosshardt, 88, of Owatonna, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
She was born February 27, 1932, in Breckenridge, Minnesota, the daughter of Aaron and Edna Nauss. After she finished first grade, her family moved to Faribault, where she attended Trinity Lutheran School through the eighth grade and graduated from Faribault High School in 1950.
She married Maurice "Boze" K. Bosshardt on January 6, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. Soon after, they moved to Elba, Alabama, where Boze served in the Minnesota Army National Guard for eighteen months. They then moved to Owatonna, Minnesota, where she enjoyed raising her sons. Later, she worked at Sears, the Owatonna Hospital, and held retail sales positions at a number of businesses in Medford and Owatonna.
Lorrain and Boze were members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Owatonna, where she actively served.
Lorrain had a joyful spirit and always saw the good in others. She had many interests and especially enjoyed craft making, sewing, shopping, archery, bike riding, learning new things, and playing games with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Lovern Nauss; sons, Mike (Kathy) Bosshardt, Chuck (Julie) Bosshardt, Rich (Sue) Bosshardt; grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Rynda, Tanya (Greg) Cooper, Bryan Bosshardt, Kelsey and Jake Bosshardt; great grandchildren, Allison and Adam Rynda, and Tyler and Jared Cooper; and beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boze, and her parents Aaron and Edna (Denow) Nauss.
A public visitation will be held at the Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, Owatonna, on Thursday, June 25, from 4 to 7 pm; a face mask will be required.
A private funeral service will be held for the family. Interment will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
