Lorraine Jane Bob Rieck, 73, of Owatonna, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. She was born March 12, 1945 in Lemond Township the daughter of Charles and Virginia (Fischer) Miller. Lorraine worked on her family farm upon completing her education. She married Emil Rieck October 19, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The couple farmed together in Lemond Township and later near Meriden. They lived together in rural Medford until shortly after her husband preceded her in death. She then moved back to her family's home farm in Lemond Township. Lorraine worked at Souba's Greenhouse and Kitchen Creek Farm for over 30 years. She also enjoyed delivering papers on her paper route for 30 years. Lorraine was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, polka music, watching WWE Wrestling, occasional trips to the casino and driving her golf cart around the farm. She loved her dog, Panda. Lorraine had a soft place in her heart for calves and she collected everything that looked like or had a cow on it. Lorraine loved playing cards and spending time with her family. Lorraine was a happy and hard working lady. She is survived by her brother, LaVerne Miller of Owatonna; sisters, LaVonne (and Dale) Strand of Pine River, Louise Stenzel of Owatonna, Leona (and Norman) Rieck of Owatonna; sisters in law, Candy Fischer of Rice Lake, WI, Verna (and Willis) Yule of Owatonna and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Rieck; brother, Tim Fischer; brother-in-law, Michael Stenzel; sister in law, Beverly Miller and great nephew, Steven Vasicek. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday from 4pm to 7pm and at Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:30am at Zion Lutheran Church with Reverend Cheryl D. Indehar officiating.
