Lorraine Butler, 88, of Brooklyn Park, formerly of Aitkin died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born February 17, 1920 in Dodge County, Minnesota the daughter of Robert and Anna (Workman) Cain. Lorraine graduated from West Concord High School in 1938, and then married Emil Butler August 1, 1943. The couple lived in Claremont and West Concord, and then moved to Aitkin in 1975, after Emil died in 2001 Lorraine moved to Brooklyn Park and lived with her son Randy. Lorraine was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, visiting, and watching hockey and baseball. She is survived by twelve children, Mona (Mick) McMartin of Claremont, Lorraine (Paul) Mueller of Waldorf, Veletta (Todd) Gartner of Golden Valley, Rhonda (Richard) Egan of Brooklyn Park, Perry Butler of Palm Springs, CA, Rodney (Wendy) Butler of Cannon Falls, Roger Butler of Tamarack, Steve Butler of Brooklyn Park, Dalen (Jolene) Butler of Hill City, Dan (Tonya) Butler of Aitkin, Randy (Sonia) of Brooklyn Park, Brian (Vicki) Butler of Cedar. Thirty-six grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and special cousin Dorothy Keller of Stewartville also survive her. Her parents, husband, daughter Penny, son Loren, and two grandsons Matthew and Willie Mueller preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Thursday January 22 from 4-7 PM and at Faith Community Church- West Concord on Friday January 23 from 10-11 AM. Funeral service will be held Friday January 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Faith Community Church- West Concord with Reverend Brad Reis of Brooklyn Park officiating.
