Lorraine Evelyn Nikoley, 94, of Owatonna, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at her residence at Traditions 1 in Owatonna. She was born May 29, 1923 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Anton J. and Emma E. (Ochs) Fait. She was baptized on July 15, 1923 at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna and confirmed on April 5, 1936. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1941. On November 5, 1946, she married Marion Nick Nikoley at St. John Lutheran Church. Lorraine worked at F.J Kasper Co. for five years, at Fait & Scram Co. for 10 years and at St. John Lutheran Church for 27 years and retired in 1971. She was very active at St. John Lutheran Church serving as the first junior choir director, assistant organist for 27 years, circle member and chairperson, altar guild member, Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school teacher and administrative secretary for 14 years. She was also active in Bible study classes, senior Lutherans and sewed for Mission in Action Quilters. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking and entering her items at Steele County Free Fair. She is survived by numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Emma Fait; husband, Marion Nick Nikoley (2014). A Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna with Pastor Jacie Richmond and Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Visitation will be held at church on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
