Lorraine Maxine Spreiter, 86, of West Concord, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center. She was born April 23, 1923 in Fairpoint the daughter of Ross and Matie (Martin) Quimby. Lorraine graduated from West Concord High School. She married Arthur Spreiter May 20, 1942 at the Concord Parsonage. The couple lived on the Spreiter farm prior to building a home and farm of their own west of the family farm. In 1966 the couple moved off the farm to their house in West Concord. Lorraine worked at the Farmers State Bank in West Concord and later at the Norwest Bank, now Wells Fargo in Rochester until her retirement. She attended Faith Community Church in West Concord. Lorraine enjoyed making Afghans, traveling in their motor home, spending winters in Texas and loved her dog "Snoopy." She is survived by son, John (and Jureene) Spreiter of West Concord; granddaughter, Sarah (and Bryan) Datema of Rochester; brothers, Orville (and Addie) Quimby of West Concord, Daryl (and Bess) Quimby of Pine Island, Donovan (and Dolores) Quimby of West Concord and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm and at Faith Community Church on Friday from 1pm to 2pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2010 at 2:00pm at Faith Community Church with The Reverend David Breederland officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township. Memorials are preferred to the West Concord Ambulance, Faith Community Church or to the donor''s choice.
