Lorraine E. Thiede, 92, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her home. Lorraine was born June 19, 1918 in Rochester, Minnesota the daughter of Aloysious and Edna (Fitzgerald) Peplinski. There she was raised and attended school graduating from Rochester High School. She was united in marriage to Donald Thiede on February 15, 1942 San Diego, CA. There she worked in an air craft plant. While Donald continued on with his service during WWII, Lorraine returned to Eyota. After Don''s service, he returned to Eyota. The couple moved to Owatonna in 1959. Lorraine enjoyed cake decorating, making crafts and traveling with her husband after retirement to Arizona and to Alaska. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Donald Thiede Sr. of Owatonna; daughter, Terry (and Denny) Reiman of Glendale, AZ; son, Donald (and Verna) Thiede Jr. of Owatonna; five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Lorraine is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Brown of Rochester. She was preceded in death by three sisters. Memorial services for Lorraine will be held at a later date in Eyota.
