Lucille Marcella Schroht, 85, of Owatonna, died Monday, November 10, 2008 at Cedarview Care Center. She was born March 29, 1923 in Owatonna, the daughter of Michael and Nellie (Batzel) Hintgen. Lucille was a 1941 graduate of Owatonna High School. She married Ralph H. Schroht Sr. on January 21, 1942. Ralph Sr. died on December 23, 1981. Lucille worked at Truth Hardware. She was a member of United Methodist Church and participated in several activities along with the choir. She enjoyed raising chickens, canning foods, baking sweet rolls and doughnuts, riding bicycles, helping others by being a "taxi service" to many friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed Lawrence Welk. Lucille loved gardening and yard work; especially mowing her yard with her John Deere lawn tractor. She is survived by son, Ralph (and Gladys) Schroht Jr. of Owatonna; daughter, Joan (and Dennis) Sutter of Faribault; grandchildren Lisa, Lori, Shane and Mia; and a great-grandchild, Tanner. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Sr., brothers Bernard, Lloyd and adopted sister Hazel. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13 from 4-7 pm and at United Methodist Church on Friday, November 14 from 10-11 am. Funeral services will be held Friday November 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church with Pastor Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
