Luella Messall, 83, of Owatonna, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Luella's House of Care in Owatonna. Luella was born June 23, 1925 in Morristown the daughter of Martin and Louise (Gehrke) Wolf. Luella attended country school near Morristown. She was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Messall on June 2, 1944. They farmed in Waseca Township and also lived in the city of Waseca. She worked for many years as a supervisor for E.F. Johnson in Waseca. They then moved to Owatonna where they lived until the time of their death. Ted died in 2001. Luella was able to then live in her own home with the care of Julie Summy, owner and her staff at Luella''s House of Care here in Owatonna after a long battle with multiple sclerosis She is survived by her sister, Leona (and Harold) Minske of Waseca, two sister-in-laws, Alice Wolfe of Waseca and Vera Wolfe of Owatonna and nephews and nieces. Luella will also be missed by her cat Minnie. She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM . Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
