Obituary

Manuel 'Manny' Villareal, 72, of Kenyon, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly at home on May 6th. Manuel was born July 7th, 1950 in Yoakum, Texas to Joe and Anita Villareal.

Manuel moved to Minnesota in 1967 where he was a Machinist for most of his working years up to his retirement. He enjoyed family gatherings and a good BBQ. He loved all kinds of music and played the guitar, harmonica and sang. Spending a summer day on the lake fishing was just one of his many favorite things to do. For 30+ years straight Manny and his wife April had a special tradition of attending the Great Minnesota State Fair on the opening day as soon as the gates opened; spending the entire day visiting booths, eating and just enjoying their time together. They would stay until the gates closed.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; Joe and Anita Villareal, sister; Mary Barrientes, brother; Joe Villareal, and wife; April Villareal. He is survived by his siblings; Jimmy Lopez, Jesse Villareal, Sam Villareal, and Janie Barrientes. Children; Joe and (Barb) Villareal, Kathryn and (Mike) Wiltsey, Dean Villareal, and Nicole and (John) Laforte. Grandchildren; Michael, Rebecca and (Josh), Amber, Dallas, and Naomi. Great-Grandchildren; Caroline Anne Jeanette, and Robert Joseph Manuel who is expected to arrive in September.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date for his children in Zumbrota, Minnesota; where his remains will be laid to rest with his beloved wife April.

'And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away.'
