Marcella 'Sally' Anderson, 75, of Owatonna, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Cedarview Care Center. She was born January 12, 1935 in Waseca County, Minnesota the daughter of Arthur and Irene (Proechel) Gerdts. Attended Waldorf-Pemberton High School and graduated from Janesville High School. Marcella married LeRoy Anderson September 21, 1957, and the couple lived in Owatonna. Marcella enjoyed crocheting, needlework, puzzle books, and spending time at her grandchildren's events. She is survived by her husband LeRoy, children Cindy Thorn of Owatonna, Kari (Scott) Bastian of Rochester, Mike Anderson of Maple Grove, and Greg Anderson of Golden Valley. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a brother Eugene (Ginger) Gerdts of Janesville. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents and one great granddaughter. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-4 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Monday from 1-2 PM. Memorial service will be held Monday August 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
