Marcile Laurene Johnson, 87, of Owatonna, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. Marcile was born March 23, 1927 in Aurora Township, Minnesota the daughter of Herbert and Amanda (Kieselbach) Kruckeberg. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1944 then moved to Owatonna and worked as a bookkeeper at Owatonna Tool Company. Marcile married Robert N. Johnson on January 11, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church, Havana Township. They made their home in Owatonna. Marcile worked at home and raised their five children. She also assisted her husband with bookkeeping at the Owatonna Elevator. Marcile loved doing hardanger, reading, and puzzles. Marcile enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and keeping updated with the family through email. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served on the altar guild and volunteered. She is survived by her five children, Susan (and Dennis) Moore of Mankato, Roger (and Otilia) Johnson of Owatonna, David (and Sherri) Johnson of Eagan, Joanne Johnson of Minneapolis, Kristin (and Dominick) DeLuca of New Prague; five grandchildren, Neal (and Jordan) Johnson of Kansas City, MO, Bradley Johnson of Eagan, Mitchell Johnson of Minneapolis, Carolyn and Nicholas DeLuca of New Prague; sister, Benita Yentsch of Medford; sister-in-law, Rebecca Johnson of Owatonna; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, brothers, Alvin and Richard Kruckeberg, sister, Harriet Grunklee and an infant sister. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend John Petersen officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
