Margaret Marie Anderson, 93, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Koda Living Community. She was born June 11, 1922 in Summit Twsp, the daughter of Jerry and Albeana (Moravec) Wanous. Margaret married Melvin P. Anderson Feb. 25, 1941 in Owatonna. The couple lived in rural Blooming Prairie. Following her husbands death Margaret moved to Owatonna in 1994. She was a long time member of First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie and later a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Margaret loved flower and vegetable gardening and stayed busy canning all summer long. She raised chickens and sold eggs while on the farm. She enjoyed crocheting, playing the accordion and listening to old time music. She was a lady of kind words and loved time with her grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann (and Wencl) Srsen of Medford; sons, Darold (and Beverly) Anderson of Austin, Dale Anderson of White Bear lake, George (and Ramona) Anderson of Minnetonka; 11 grandchildren; 9 greatgrandchildren; brother, Victor Wanous of Owatonna; sister, Lucille LaCanne of Faribault and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. Visitation will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held October 31, 2015 at 10:30am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Weisenburger officiating.
