Margaret Irene Kraling, 94, of Dodge Center, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Fairview Care Center, Dodge Center. She was born October 24, 1914 in Grand Meadow the daughter of Jacob and Dorothea (Thorson) Helgeson. Margaret graduated from Grand Meadow High School. She married William Kraling May 15, 1934. The couple moved to a farm in Dodge County where Margaret still resided. They farmed together for many years. Margaret was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Concord. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading, baking and sewing. She is survived by daughters, Kathryn (and John) Urch of West Concord, Linda (and Larry) Giersdorf of Mankato; son, Stephen Kraling of Goodell, IA; grandsons, Andrew (and Betsy Parrell) Urch, Matthew (and Sara Martinez) Urch, Micah (and Melissa) Giersdorf, Jordan Giersdorf, Joshua (and Julie) Kraling, Eric Kraling; 14 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 granddaughter, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord Funeral Chapel on Monday from 4-7pm and at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Concord on Tuesday from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held December 16, 2008 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Chris Brekke officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, West Concord Fire and Rescue, E.L.C.A. World Hunger or to the donor''s choice.
