Margaret (Marge) M. Hoven''s journey on earth ended on October 15, 2013 following complications from a stroke. She was born July 6, 1916 to Anton and Mathilda Koester in Bellechester, MN. In 1943 Marge married Chester (Chet) Hoven in Reno, NV, prior to his deployment to England during World War II. Marge and Chet moved to Owatonna in 1952 where they raised their four children. Marge was an accomplished seamstress and an avid bridge player. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with friends and family. In younger years she and Chet were active in the Elks Club where they took advantage of all dinner and dance opportunities. Marge was also a member of her church Guild and Catholic Daughters for decades. She is survived by her son Paul Hoven, her daughters Ann Hoven (Don Lipsey), Mary Kristo (Steve Maier) and Julie Quintal; her grandchildren Adam Lipsey (Traci), Rachel Lipsey, Aaron Kristo, Matthew Kristo (Sarah Shurbert) , Nathan Kristo and Alaina Quintal, her great grandchildren Ariana Kristo and Caitlyn Lipsey; and with a large group of wonderful friends. Marge was preceded in death in 1987 by her husband and lifelong bridge and dance partner, Chet; her granddaughter, Catherine Quintal; her sister, Sybil Koester-Anderson; and her brothers Fritz and Ray Koester. The outstanding and compassionate care she received from the staffs at Countryside Senior Living in Owatonna along with Seasons Hospice House and Madonna Meadows in Rochester was very much appreciated by Marge and her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 18th at 10:30 am with a visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph''s Catholic Parish, 512 S Elm Ave, Owatonna, MN. Lunch will be served at St. Joseph''s after the service. Interment will follow Monday, October 21st at 11:15 am at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
