Margaret Ashley Moran, 34, of Owatonna, died on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.

She was born on November 13, 1991, in Redford, MI, the daughter of Patrick and Laura (Jones) Moran. Margaret was a 2011 graduate of South Lyon East High School in South Lyon, MI. She moved to Owatonna in 2013.

Margaret enjoyed writing stories, reading, playing video games, diamond art, and loved her cat, Bailey.

She is survived by her parents, Pat and Laura Moran of Owatonna; sisters, Angela (Ernie) Fessenden of Rochester and Christina (Michael) Britzius of Ellendale; nephews, Damian and Clint Fessenden; aunts, Linda Throp, Lou Gandenie, Celeste Stokes, and Shawna Nowak; uncle, Marty Moran; and close friend, Ash Criswell.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Lee and two uncles, Allan and Tom.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
