Margaret M. 'Peg' Bruno, 101, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 surrounded by family. Margaret Marion Frame was born October 28, 1909 in Waterford, Minnesota of Scotch parents, Thomas and Margaret (Gibson) Frame. She attended country school and graduated from Northfield High School in 1926. She then attended Mankato State Teachers College for one term and later began working for Tri State and later Northwestern Bell Telephone Co in Northfield. She then worked for a short time in the long distance office in St. Paul at Midway. Margaret was united in marriage to Donald Bruno on September 24, 1938 in the home of the Congregational Church pastor, Rev. Robert Rosche in Northfield. She belonged to the Associated Church in Owatonna, Grace Circle, Annotawo Club, was a life member of the Hospital Auxiliary and held offices in grade and high school PTA. She also worked part time for several years in the license bureau. Margaret enjoyed being a homemaker, growing plants and flowers, playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles, but most of all being with her family and friends. Donald died November 27, 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn (and John "Gus") Bjorklund of St. Paul; Donna Bruno of Shoreview; Janice (and Joel) Jensen of Owatonna; seven grandchildren, Kim Larson, Scott Jensen, Terrie Ennis, Elicia Janning, Jamie Trenberth, John M. Bjorklund and Amy Hook; 13 great grandchildren, Ryan and Randy Ennis, Joshua and Cody Jensen, Jordan and Jesse Doschadis, Emily Janning, Connor Bjorklund, Jackson Kaganovsky, Bennett Hook, Mia Hook, Ethan and Maggie Trenberth and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald (1994), two brothers, William and Thomas Frame, a sister, Mary Ricketts and a brother-in-law Richard Bruno all in 1999. Visitation will be at The Associated Church, Owatonna on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM at The Associated Church, Owatonna with Dr. Ronald D. Wilson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the spring in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Steele County Food Shelf, The Associated Church, Hospital Auxiliary or donor''s choice.
