Margaret F. Wiese, 105, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Cedarview Care Center. Mrs. Wiese was born June 13, 1906 in Maple Hill, Iowa the daughter of Christian and Carrie (Falk) Peterson. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1925 and from Owatonna Normal Teacher''s Training in 1926. She was a lifelong resident of Owatonna and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1919. She served on the Altar Guild for many years. On August 3, 1929, she married Clarence Wiese in Owatonna. Mr. Wiese died in 1985. Margaret taught school for 3 years in Steele County, worked for 23 years at the Owatonna Ford-Mercury dealership, and then worked 10 years as a secretary at the Owatonna State School. Margaret enjoyed traveling, reading, purchasing collectibles, entertaining, entertaining the Altar Guild members, crafting, and shopping for antiques. Margaret is survived by three nieces, Connie Beitz of Gilbert, AZ, Judith Date of Hanover, MA, and Sybil Gruetzmacher of Mankato, and nephew, Dale Pierce of St. Paul. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, two brothers, and two sisters. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM . Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend John Lestock officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
