Margie A. Moore, 94, of Medford, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Koda Living Community. She was born May 19, 1925 in Albert Lea the daughter of Peder and Alyda Winjum. Margie attended school in Albert Lea. She married Wayne Moore on June 16, 1944 in Northwood, IA. The couple farmed in Freeborn County where they also owned and operated The Pop Shop in Lerdal. In 1959, they moved to Medford. Margie helped on the farm and also worked at Spurgeon's and for Nickerson Farms. Margie was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ in Medford and more recently a member of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Owatonna. She loved playing cards, quilting, painting and making stained glass. Margie and Wayne enjoyed square dancing together and wintering in Texas for 36 years. She is survived by her daughters, Colleen Ripka of Medford, Nancy (and Joel) Flemke of Pine Island; son, Tom (and Mona) Moore of Owatonna; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; son, Bruce and two half sisters. Visitation will be at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church on Wednesday from 10am to 11am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11am at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Brian Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
