Obituary

Marian F. Evans Schull, 89, of Owatonna, died Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Owatonna Hospital. She was born July 9, 1929, in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of John and Lillian (Cruikshank) Walker. She grew up on various farms in Steele and Rice Counties. She attended school in Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1947. She continued her education in nursing at St. Lucas Hospital. On September 26, 1951, she married Donald Evans and the couple had six children. Donald died in 1973. Marian then married Burnell Schull on November 28, 1975, at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Claremont. They lived on a farm next to the church until 1984 when they moved to Owatonna. Marian was a homemaker and also worked outside of the home as a LPN at the Owatonna Nursing Home, Fairview Nursing Home in Dodge Center and the Owatonna Hospital. She was well known for her chicken and noodles, enjoyed baking, playing cards, trips to the Casino, dancing, fishing, embroidery, traveling and winters in Florida and Texas and loved the Minnesota Twins. She especially loved her immediate and extended family members and enjoyed time she spent with them. She is survived by her children, Roger Evans (Cheryl Coomer) of Poolville, TX, Barbara Erler of Owatonna, Craig (Pam) Evans of Dodge Center, Monte Evans of Owatonna, Jeff Evans of Owatonna and Andy Evans of Medford; step-children, Douglas Schull, Vicki Schull, Loren Schull and Cynthia Bennett; sisters, Darlene (Ron) Abbe and Noreen (John) Story; sisters in law, Janice Walker and Bonnie Walker; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian; husbands, Donald Evans and Burnell Schull; brothers, Darrell, Donald, Gerald and Richard Walker; sister, Ardella (Glenn "Tom") Gillard and step son, Michael Schull. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Tuesday, February 5th from 4-7pm and at church on Wednesday from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:00am at the United Methodist Church in Owatonna with Pastor Linda Boorman officiating. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery in Rice County.
