Marie I. McKee, 78, of Owatonna, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Homestead Hospice House. Marie was born February 6, 1934 in McLeod County, Minnesota the daughter of Harry and Mamie (Johnson) McKee. She grew up in Stewart, Minnesota and at the age of 13, Marie moved to Owatonna with her family and attended school. She then worked at Fred Johnson''s hotel and later worked 10 years at Oak Hill Nursing Home. She then worked at Cedarview Care Center for 23 years. Marie volunteered at the Salvation Army and also at the Steele County Food Shelf. She enjoyed listening to Christian radio, audio books, and the Minnesota Twins and Vikings on the radio. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth 'Liz' (and Clifford) Wolf of Owatonna; Doloroes McKee of Edina; Arlene Warner of Davenport, IA; and a brother Richard McKee of Tacoma, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Dobson officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
