Marilyn Joan Ebeling, 89, of Owatonna, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Timberdale Trace.

Marilyn Mihlenbeck was born September 14, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Bert and Dorothy (Fox) Mihlenbeck. She graduated from South High School in Minneapolis in 1952. She worked for her parents who owned and operated Bert's Drive-In from 1946-1963 in Owatonna. On September 5, 1953, she married Darrell Rueben Ebeling at Associated Church in Owatonna.

Mrs. Ebeling was formerly employed at Owatonna Savings and Loan also at SPX-OTC Park Drive. She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren and loved to garden and tend to her flowers. Marilyn also was a member of the Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary and crochet and knitted hats and booties for them. She also was a board member and secretary for the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Ebeling of South St. Paul; three sons, Douglas (and Jonell) Ebeling of Owatonna, Gregory Ebeling of Two Harbors, Bruce (and Brenda) Ebeling of Waseca; six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and sister, Judith Mihlenbeck.

She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Ebeling; parents, Bert and Dorothy Mihlenbeck; daughters, Cheri and Linda Ebeling.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 11AM to 1PM. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna immediately following the visitation.
