Marion D. Hartwig, 91, of Owatonna, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Owatonna Hospital. Marion Hartwig was born May 22, 1922 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Kieselbach) Dunker. Marion graduated from Owatonna High School class of 1940. She was united in marriage to Donald Hartwig on March 25, 1947 at First St. John's Church in Owatonna. Marion worked for the phone company in Owatonna and then Steele County Abstract of Owatonna until retirement in January 1987. Marion enjoyed playing bridge, cribbage, sewing, fishing and spending time at their cabin on Beaver Lake. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Hartwig of Owatonna; brother, Robert Dunker of Owatonna and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hartwig (2011) a daughter Sandy Hartwig (1987), sisters, Dorothy Conelly, Phyllis Dunker, Faye Dunker and her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
