Marion N. Ring, 89, of Owatonna, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Brooks on St. Paul. She was born October 19, 1920 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Ernest and Nellie (Dibble) Henke. Marion graduated from Owatonna High School in 1937, and married Austin Ring June 29, 1939 in Medford. The couple farmed together outside of Medford until moving to Owatonna in 1967. Marion worked for the Owatonna Inn Towne Motel from 1962 until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was involved with Alta, Ladies Aid, and her and Austin were also involved with the Architekton Club at church. Marion was also active with the Home Improvement Club and Friendship Club in Owatonna. Prior to her husbands death in 1994 Marion and Austin traveled to many different states. Marion was very family oriented. She is survived by her five children Roger (Diane) Ring of Purcellville, VA, Beverly (Paul) Warme of State College, PA, Sandra (Paul) Schweisthal of Purcellville, VA, Marilyn (Bruce) Olsen of St. Petersburg, FL, and Kathy (Kevin) Ramsey of Ham Lake, MN, eleven grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Austin, brothers Lloyd and Lewis Henke, and sister Betty Palm. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and on Thursday from 9-10 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Avery officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Cemetery in Faribault.
