Marjorie L. Rollins, 99, of Owatonna, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, 24 days short of her 100th birthday, at the Koda Living Community in Owatonna. Marjorie was born July 31, 1913 in Merton Township, Steele Co., Minnesota the daughter of Edwin and Mary (Mork) Yule. She attended country school in Merton Township. Marjorie was united in marriage to Joseph Rollins on April 8, 1932 in Kasson, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Owatonna. In the early years, she worked at Enterprise Laundry. Later, she helped her husband as a home builder where she would help with the painting, woodwork, and many other tasks. Marjorie and Joe would live in these homes until they were sold. She enjoyed canning and baking. Bread, cookies and pies were her specialties. Marjorie was always a hard worker, but always had time for her family. She was a generous lady to all who knew her and was always there when needed. She will be missed for her generosity and sense of humor. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Perry of Bloomington; two sons, Joseph (and Elaine) Rollins of Silver Bay; Rich (and Paula) Rollins of Burnsville; her sister, Doris (and Louis) Hahn of Owatonna; six grandchildren, Pamela Perry, Julia Perry, Patricia Diedrich, Mark (and Sharon) Rollins, Lynette Rollins (and Joe Costa), and Gina (and Mark) Ford; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Norah; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Rollins (1977); her parents, granddaughter, Charisse Rollins, three brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Michaelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Peter Strommen officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church or Koda Living Community.
