Mark Edwin Maisio, 63, of Owatonna, died Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home.

He was born July 26, 1962, in Orange County, California. The son of Elmer and Donna (Wortham) Maisio. Mark was united in marriage to Lana (Swancutt) on July 3, 2004, in Reno, Nevada. Mark worked for 25 years in the dry-cleaning industry before him and his wife bought Elwood Star Cleaners in Owatonna, in 2006. They ran the business until its closure in January of 2024. He then became the custodian for the Owatonna School District.

Mark and Lana were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Emmalee and Abigail. Mark was a proud and devoted father, always making time for his children. His daughter Emmy inherited his love for animals and Abby inherited his love of Chinese food. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, specifically hockey and football, enjoying the company of his dog, Grizzly Bear, and strengthening his relationship with the Lord. On September 11, 2000, Mark received the gracious gift of having a heart transplant.

He is survived by his wife Lana of Owatonna, MN; daughters: Emmy and Abby Maisio of Owatonna, MN; brother: Matthew Maisio of Tempe, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Pastor Matt Tolosa is officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Gift of Life Transplant House.
