Martha Lillian Bailey, 91, of Owatonna, died December 8, 2011 at Cedarview Care Center. Martha, a twin daughter of Fred Jr. and Martha Sinclair was born April 10,1920 in Santa Fe Springs, California. Three days after birth, the twins'' mother died from childbirth complications. Relatives helped raise the infants who later graduated from high school and college in Glendale, CA. During the war Martha worked as a key punch operator at a department store in downtown Los Angeles. From one of her first paychecks she purchased a bicycle. Martha loved the outdoors and was described as the tomboy of the pair. On January 2, 1944 Martha and Robert (Bob) G. Bailey were married. The couple moved to New York City where Bob worked as a flight engineer with American Airlines during WWII. After returning to California, Martha was a homemaker, raising a daughter, Carol Jean, and a son, Steven Robert, who died in an accident while vacationing with the family. Martha and Bob enjoyed square dancing and went on numerous outings and trips, boating and water-skiing. When Bob would pilot his plane she happily stepped aboard as his passenger. Martha enjoyed watching and listening to horseracing with her father and uncle, also the LA Dodgers, Rose Bowl games, other teams and then later, Minnesota Vikings and Twins. They had many friends, neighbors, loving relatives and enjoyed vacationing with several family friends. They faithfully served their church and spent many hours tending its rose gardens. In 1997 Martha''s husband died. In June 2001, Martha relocated from Tujunga, CA to Park Place, Owatonna, making new friends, being closer to her daughter''s family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After a stroke in April, 2011 Martha resided at Cedarview Care Center. Martha Bailey is survived by her daughter, Carol Jean, (Robert) Reichart, Owatonna; two grandsons, Samuel (Sara) Reichart, Ankeny, IA; Kevin (Angela) Reichart, Edina, MN; three great grandchildren, Ian Reichart, Ankeny, IA; Maria and Julia Reichart, Edina, MN; nieces Laurel Cross, South Pasadena, CA; and Linda White (James Jennings), Seattle, WA. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert a son Steven, and a twin sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Vernon White. A memorial service will be Monday December 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Park Place Reflections Room with Pastor Aaron Brockmeier officiating. Another service for Martha will be at Faith Lutheran Church, Tujunga, California and interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Sylmar, CA following finalized arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Cedarview/Park Place (Koda Living Community); Owatonna Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund; Steele County History Center; Minnesota Library for The Blind; Reichart Adoption Fund to obtain four orphans from Ghana to join the Sam and Sara Reichart household (through the James 1:27 Foundation, 504 Butler Street, Melbourne, IA, 50162,
