Martha M. Stursa, 86, of Owatonna, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Traditions of Owatonna. She was born March 14, 1929 in Owatonna the daughter of Fred and Mary (Kubat) Dusek. She graduated from Owatonna High School with the Class of 1947. After high school, she moved to Billings, MT to live with her brother, Albert (and Margie) Dusek. She returned to Owatonna and married Rudolph Stursa June 16, 1949 at The Associated Church in Owatonna. Martha worked at Hyline Hatchery, Jostens and 23 years at Federated Insurance before retiring in 1991. Martha was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 50 year member of WFLA and a past trustee of WFLA. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, and visiting the Czech Republic and other European countries. She also enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, music, dancing, flowers and being outdoors. Martha loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (and Mark) Burnham of Owatonna; son, Dan (and Kim) Stursa of Owatonna; granddaughters, Christy (and Tim Erickson) Burnham, Katie (and Jared) Schiller, Breyonna Stursa of Owatonna; great grandchildren, Greta, Eleanor Nori, Evan; brother, Robert (and Zanobia) Dusek of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Margie Dusek of Pine City and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy; brothers, Albert Dusek, George Dusek. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11am at Michaelson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
