Martin L. Dengler, 75, of West Concord, died Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Dodge Center.
He was born November 26, 1944 in Rochester, Minnesota the son of Leo and Mildred (Dallman) Dengler. Martin attended school in West Concord. On March 31, 1965 he entered the United States Navy and on January 12, 1968 he was honorably discharged. On February 15, 1969, he was united in marriage to Ardis Finne in West Concord. Martin worked for Hayfield Electric, owned Skyline Amusement and retired from City of Dodge Center. He enjoyed woodworking and working with metal. Martin was often tinkering in his shop working on various projects. He loved racing. Martin enjoyed working on his son's racecar and watching the stock car races. His passion was all things music from listening to many genres and playing all instruments, his favorite being his Gibson J45 guitar. Martin especially loved his family and enjoyed jeep rides and campfires with them. Martin was raised in faith and it continued to be a large part of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ardis Dengler of West Concord; daughter, Victoria (Bruce) Vrieze of Kasson; son, Joe (Lindsey) Dengler of West Concord; grandchildren; Andrew and Jackson Dengler, Derek (Jenn) Vrieze, Kayla (Axl Erie) Vrieze and Isaac Bahr; great-grandchildren, Emmitt and Brooke Vrieze; sisters, Margaret (Ron) Finne of Kasson, Marilyn (Jeff) Jobs of Blaine and Marcia (Ev) Jacobson of Georgetown, KY; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mildred Dengler.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord Chapel on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Faith Community Church with David Breederland officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Faith Community Church or to the West Concord Fire and Rescue.
