Marvin L. Chevalier, 76, of Owatonna, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Homestead Hospice House. He was born December 10, 1933 near Green Isle the son of Walter and Leone (Berger) Chevalier. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. Marvin married Juanita Witthus June 22, 1957 in Green Isle. The couple moved to Owatonna in 1972. Marvin drove truck for The Toro Company for many years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion and AmVets. Marvin is survived by his wife, Juanita of Owatonna; sons, Robert Chevalier of Zumbrota, Mark (and Marsha) Chevalier of Plymouth; mother, Leone Chevalier of Glencoe; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Derek, Taylor and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and 1 brother. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 2pm to 3pm. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 3:00pm at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend John Sauer officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Military honors will be provided by Steele County Military Funeral Unit. Memorials are preferred to the Hospice Patient Care Fund or Donors Choice.
