Mary Jean Blaisdell, 64, of Jackson, New Jersey, died Monday, March 10, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was born July 19, 1949 in Dodge Center, MN, the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Phelps) Moreland. She graduated West Concord High School with the class of 1967 and then attended Mankato State College where she earned her associates degree. Mary married Steven Blaisdell on April 17, 1970. The couple lived in Florissant, Missouri until 1988 and then moved to Jackson, New Jersey. Mary worked caring for other''s children having as many as four daily on top of her own. Mary enjoyed crafting, baking, her garden, and most of all loving her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah; sons, Adam and Andrew; grandsons, Zachary and Ethan; granddaughter, Elena; daughter-in-laws, Jackie and Louise; son-in-law, Paul; mother, Evelyn Moreland of West Concord; six siblings, Pat (and Ed) Stoltenberg of Denver; Richard Bennett of Dodge Center; Sharon (and Bruce) Norton of Rochester; Janice (and Keith) Applequist of Rochester; Diane (and Greg) Zelinske of O'Fallon, IL; Merlin (and Cheryl) Moreland of Dodge Center; brother-in-law, Ed Buchanan of Spring Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Blaisdell, father, Harold Moreland, brother, Robert Bennett, and sister, Gerry Buchanan. Visitation will be at Concord Church of Christ on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Concord Church of Christ with The Reverend Tim Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township.
