Mary Eleanor Nelson, 64, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Homestead Hospice House. She was born May 7, 1955 in Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Warren and Emma (Campbell) Laust. Mary moved to Minnesota when she was young. She graduated from St. Paul Park High School in 1973. Mary worked for Brown Printing in Waseca for 27 years. Mary enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, playing video games. She also enjoyed horses and horseback riding. Most of all Mary enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Rodney Nelson; children, son, Ryan Nelson, Courtnee (and fiancé Josh Horejsi) Nelson and Jason Nelson all of Owatonna; grandchildren, Chayanna, Devon, Taylor, Michael and Zachary; siblings, Daniel (and Monica) Laust of Prescott, WI, Raymond Laust of Roanoke, VA, Elizabeth (and Michael) Gerke of Prescott, WI and Kathleen (and Joaquine) Gamarra of New Port; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Warren and Emma. Memorial service will be held December 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
