Matilda Tillie Marie Madsen, 72, of Owatonna, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. Tillie was born January 15, 1943 in Dodge Center, Minnesota the daughter of Clarence and Martha (Dushek) Woolison. She was a graduate of Dodge Center High School. Tillie worked at Josten's, where she met her future husband, Allan Madsen. They were married on August 3, 1963 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Tillie later went to work for Gandy Company. Tillie was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She also volunteered in the Owatonna community. Tillie was a big help in her husbands nursery business. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Allan Madsen of Owatonna; children, Gwendolyn (Wendell) Amstutz of Rochester, MN, Larry (Mary) Madsen of Columbia Falls, MT, and Jill (Dave) Sawyer of Leesburg, VA; five grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; sister, Adeline Hrtanek of Owatonna; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Madsen; infant granddaughter, Jolyn Amstutz; brother, Lawrence Woolison; sisters, Marcella Roberts, Louise Penca, and Dorothy Woolison. Visitation will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with The Reverend Karl Korbel officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Prairie Cemetery in Blooming Prairie. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
