Maureen L. Schmidt, 63, of Owatonna, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her home with her family at her side. Maureen was born January 6, 1950 in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of Charles and Mary (Bergman) Neuman. She graduated in 1968 from Lindstrom High School. Maureen then worked for the MN Highway Department. She was united in marriage to Tim Schmidt on March 7, 1970 at Chisago Bible Baptist Church. The couple moved to Owatonna and Maureen began a day care before beginning a 31year career with Viracon. Maureen loved the Lord, going to church and serving in the nursery. She was an avid reader and would go to lunch with her special friends. Maureen and Tim enjoyed vacationing together. She loved her two children with all her heart and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She loved spending special times with them. She is survived by her husband Tim Schmidt of Owatonna; son, Rob (and Sarah) Schmidt of Owatonna; daughter, Annette (and Tim) Webber of Rangely, CO; seven grandchildren Mitchell, Jordan, McKenzie, Katelyn, Marshall, Laura and Elizabeth; two brothers, her twin brother Mike (and Linda) Neuman of Harris; David Bergman of Maplewood; a step brother Pat McCormick of Osceola, WI; step sister Lisa McCormick of Roseville and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father Charles, her mother Mary McCormick, her step father Lloyd McCormick and a step brother Darrell Neuman. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor David Levy officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna. Maureen''s desire was that everyone she met would come to know the Lord and meet her in heaven someday.
