Maxine Leora Ronglien, 82, of Owatonna, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Koda Living Community.
She was born October 31, 1934 in Aurora Township, Minnesota the daughter of Herman and Leora (Kruckeberg) Grunklee. Maxine attended District 90 country school and St. John's Lutheran School in Havana Township. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1952. She fell in love and married Harvey Ronglien on December 27, 1952. Maxine was employed at Federated Insurance for 37 years as a secretary and trainer. When she retired she was a Sales Assistant trainer and designed the first Sales Assistant Training Program. Upon retirement, Maxine began her volunteer career as Director of the State School Orphanage Museum. She devoted endless hours to the State School project.
Maxine loved God, her family, antiques, decorating, gardening, and took great pride in everything she touched. She was small in stature, but large in strength, dignity, and integrity.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Ronglien of Owatonna; son, Rob (and Deb) Ronglien of Eden Prairie; daughter, Cheryl Ronglien of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Tiffany (and Andy) Myers; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Norman (and Ruth) Grunklee of Red Wing and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm and at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church on Monday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:30am at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Brian Wright officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the State School Museum.
