Maxine J. Williams, 87, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Owatonna Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1932, in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of Martin and Hilda (Hanson) Anderson. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School. Maxine worked at the local courthouse. She met John "Lloyd" Williams and they were married on August 4, 1956, in Chippewa Falls. They moved to Owatonna and had three children. Maxine was a homemaker and also worked for Federated Insurance for a few years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and water aerobics. Maxine also enjoyed traveling especially her trips to Alaska and Norway. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Maxine was also a member of the Red Hat Society where she enjoyed visiting and dining at local restaurants.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Williams of Owatonna; son, Mark Williams of Owatonna; grandchildren, Shari (and Tony) Huinker, Matthew Williams, Jeremy Williams; great-grandchildren, Auzztin, Mason, Malia and Grant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Lloyd" Williams who died on January 9, 2016; son, Michael "Mike" Williams; one brother and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
