Melinda Paffrath Maltezos, 57, Lehigh Acres, FL, died in her home on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Melinda was born April 25, 1952. She was raised and attended school in Owatonna graduating from Owatonna High School. Melinda spent most of her life in the Twin Cities area working in the hospitality field, as well as having ran and instructed at a dance school. She was also a golf teaching professional. She later spent a few years in Ohio, before moving to Florida where she loved the warmth and sun. Melinda was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Paffrath Sr. in 1993. Melinda is survived by her mother, Mary Louise Paffrath, a brother, Gordon Jr. Paffrath, both of Owatonna; nieces, Tammy and Susan; nephew, Bill; and great-nephews, Tom and Kevin. Melinda also had four great joys, her dogs, Dax and Ali, and cats, Indy and India. She also leaves behind many friends and loved ones, whose lives could have only been better for having known her. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 19 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. In lieu of flowers, family prefers that donations be made to your local ASPCA, Humane Society, or APL, in her memory.
