Meredith Rusty Skalicky, age 71, of West Concord, Minnesota passed away on August 5, 2016 at the Owatonna Homestead Hospice House. Meredith was born on June 11, 1945 to Verne and Ruth Redeker in Mason City, Iowa. She completed high school in Owatonna, Minnesota in 1963. On May 5, 1984 she married the love of her life, Bernard (Bernie) Skalicky. They were happily married for 32 years. They lived in Kasson and for 30 years she worked in the bakery at Erdman's Country Market. Rusty loved reading, and also enjoyed coloring and doing word searches. She had an impressive collection of beanie babies. She is survived by her husband, Bernie Skalicky of Circle Drive Manor in West Concord, Minnesota.In addition she is survived by her three siblings: Susan Redeker Klinkhammer (Gary), Corvallis, Oregon; Bill Redeker, Park City, Utah; Elizabeth Redeker Paige (David), Louisville, Kentucky; and three nieces, two nephews and six great nieces and nephews. Memorials preferred to Circle Drive Manor, West Concord, Minnesota (Rusty and Bernie's loving home these past years) or a charity of your choice A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna with Reverend Dean Smith officiating.
