Merle T. Jensen, 89, of Meriden, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at his home. He was born December 9, 1925 in Owatonna, the son of Raymond and Elsie (Werdien) Jensen. Merle attended country school, and then started farming with his father. Merle was united in marriage to Delores Mueller October 28, 1945 at St. John's Lutheran church Havana Township. Together the couple had a dairy farm in the Meriden area. Delores died September 1, 2006. Merle enjoyed playing cards, dancing, going out to eat, and he always had treats for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Merle was known for always tinkering with things and getting them to work or make look new again. Merle was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his children, Donna (Mark) Born of Waseca, Sharon (Ray) Rew of Waseca, Michael (Phyllis) Jensen of Waseca, eight grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two grandchildren Lori Rew, and Adam Jensen, and two sisters Ethel McCracken and Violet Nelson. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday March 16, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Paige Whitney officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owatonna.
