Michael A. Dixon, 73, of Mankato, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Mankato Hospital. Michael A. Dixon was born on October 19, 1946 in Hardwick, VT, the son of George and Karlene Dixon. Mike was certified in Quality Control. He worked for several companies in New Jersey, Rhode Island and Minnesota. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato and had served as vice president of the church council. Mike loved sports, participated in bowling, golfing and baseball. He was an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He is survived by his son, Mark Dixon of Nashua, NH; step-daughter, Lisa (Kelly) Klein of Medford; siblings, Anthony (Barbara) Dixon of Glen Gardner, NJ and Stephen Dixon of Bloomsbury, NJ; sister-in-law, Judy (Howard) Hofschulte of Mazeppa, MN and brother-in-law, Donald (Betty) Kramer of Owatonna, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Dixon; parents, George and Karlene Dixon; in-laws, Bernard and Evelyn Kramer. To honor Michael, please wear sports atire or your favorite team jersey. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM . Funeral services will be held February 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna with Pastor John Odegard officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Waseca. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church.
