Milo J. Deml, 92, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Cedarview Care Center. He was born July 16, 1919 in Owatonna Township, Minnesota the son of Louis and Mary (Jirousek) Deml. Milo attended school in Owatonna, and married Donna Mittlestadt July 21, 1948 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Claremont. He owned and operated Deml Garage in Claremont from 1952-1980. Milo later moved to Owatonna in 2003. He was named Cedarview Care Center Volunteer of the year in 2008. Milo was a past member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and a current member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Milo enjoyed riding motorcycle, old time music, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter Rochelle (and Nick) Smith of Kasson, son Gary (and Laurie) Deml of Waseca, five grandchildren Jared Smith, Evan (and Lisa) Smith, Michael (and Kara) Deml, Bradley (and Corey) Deml, Kristin (and Brian Varholdt) Deml, three great grandchildren Alanna Smith, Maxwell Deml, and Lucia Deml, and his brother Eugene Deml of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna in 2007, sister Eleanor Stransky, and brother George Deml. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday January 6, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday January 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with The Reverend John Sauer officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
